Meet the founders

ABOF Brand was founded by Michele A. Mambo and her husband, Bernard Mambo, a couple from the Ivory Coast, united by their love of West-African culture and heritage.

Together, they created ABOF (Fashion in the Agni language from the Akan group) with the vision of sharing the beauty and meaning of traditional African adornment with women everywhere. Michele’s passion for waist beads and feminine symbolism inspired the heart of the brand, while Bernard’s vision and support helped bring the project to life.

Their shared commitment is to honor authentic African traditions while presenting them with elegance and respect in a modern world.
